While RevGenetics is not a fan of mine because he thinks I promote Longevinex, I think RevGenetics is a very reliable source of 99% resveratrol. The navigators at imminst.org are biochemists, and both vouche for it. One has taken it for a while.

Not that I know of. It may be a good brand, but its not micronized and I couldnt find any COA or discussion of emodin content anywhere. As far as HLI, I havent gotten any emails from them either and their product probably isnt available yet. Im sure when they do market, it will be posted here.

Hi,

To respond to the last post: No elevation of emodin, I would say it will basically eliminate all but traces of emodin in the products. I believe this will make folks concerned about emodin happy.

We may create new products, as we move completely over to the micronized synthetic resveratrol material.

Cheers

Hopefully this will be a plus, in my mind the synthetic may be assimilated into ones system better and faster, particularly in the pre-emulsified product. Does this change mean a discontinuation of some products or an elevation of emodin content?

Just a quick update…

We are in agreement and are following Dr. B and Dr. Sinclair's lead on synthetic resveratrol. This morning I have agreed to move to synthetics as long as we continue following our safety tests for clean pure trans-resvertatol, without any solvents or chemicals used in the process.

DSM is a good company, however we will not be purchasing their synthetic resveratrol at this time as the COA shown in my previous post shows that more than one company can produce a spectacular product.

We will be providing fully tested synthetic resveratrol wholesale for manufacturers and retail to the public in the coming year. The new synthetic product simply rivals anything on the market today, including DSM's good looking product. In the end, it is the same molecule we will both offering to manufacturers and the general public.

I believe it will simply be a great year for consumers, and RevGenetics is honored to be a part of it. Feel free to contact ('orders@revgenetics.com') if you are a manufacturer who is considering synthetics as well.

Cheers

A

Hi, when we were verifying synthetic purity, we asked our source to list all the chemicals that are used in it's production. Personally I know that synthetics do not use typical "ethanol-only" extraction, and had to sign NDAs regarding the chemical list we were provided.

We tested for all of the harmfull chems for the synthetic we are considering. I really hope other folks do the same, as the FDA does not require a manufacturer to ask and test for all the chemicals used to produce the material. We simply could not accept the sources lab results, we have a higher standard and have to test for all the chemicals ourselves, through an independent lab that has no horse in the race.

The fact is, that if I personally don't like the batch tests… it isn't released, regardless if it met Proposition 65 standards: http://www.oehha.org/prop65.html. I have a personal stake since I take up to 2 grams a day of resveratrol, and require very clean and safe resveratrol for myself.

We hope that any synthetic resveratrol that is offered, is simply tested properly.

Cheers

Without a doubt, testing is a major selling point for the discriminating consumer. COA's, batch and lot testing all contribute to consistent quality, this insures customer satisfaction. There may be advantages with synthetic for the consumer.

The one from China had Toluene at an unacceptable level. This one below is not from China, and is extraordinary. I hope that whatever is chosen for the non-profit includes testing for all items we have tested for in our own COAs with synthetics.

We have spoken to DSM which makes Resvida, and the COA we have seen shows a 98% tran-resveratrol purity which is darn good.

However, I have seen higher 99% purities from polygonum plant, and from other synthetics in other countries.

If Sinclair believes that 98% (or better) Synthetics are the way to go, we will change our product line to include 99% synthetics as well… and it will not be from China.

Sinclair's reccomendation simply has enough weight to make us change the way we do business.

There is supposedly a new source company that is affiliated with Healthy lifespan institute ( heir site is not up yet) that intends to provide 100% pure synthetic, sounds interesting and one can only hope that each batch will be tested and provided with a reliable COA and come from an NSF-GMP certified lab. I would be surprised if it doesnt. Right now there isnt much competition in the "Premium Resveratrol" market.
