2tender, Sirtris (bought by GSK) is running a study in multiple myeloma but the data is not yet available. What is needed is a longterm study in people without cancer to see if resveratrol is cancer preventative and lifespan extending. If someone could track the 100K+ people taking resveratrol that would be a huge step forward. Motie

Its my understanding that a company called SIRTIS is doing some studies administering a Resveratrol derivitive to cancer patients. This may approximate such a study.

Lovecats,
I totally agree. Someone needs to enrol about 20,000 people and track them. I bet that in a few years we'd know if resveratrol extends lifespan. I heard the NIH is doing a study. DO you know?

What this site needs is the ability to track people on resveratrol. That way we'd know if lifespan could be extended. I hope they add it. Does anyone know how many people you would need in such a trial to see effects in 3 or 5 years? I suspect you would want a bunch of elderly people to sign up. M
